At the Canton Fair, nylon cable ties are not only showcased as products but also play an essential role throughout the entire event. For large exhibitions like the Canton Fair, cable ties are used everywhere—from setting up booths inside the halls to securing barriers and managing crowd flow outside. In this article, we’ll explore several real-life examples of how cable ties efficiently and easily solve various challenges at the fair.
Quick Installation of Spotlight at the Booth
During the 137th Canton Fair this year, there are around 74,000 booths, each carefully designed to attract foreign buyers. Lighting arrangement is a key element, as it directly affects how products are displayed. Traditional installation methods can be complicated and time-consuming, but with cable ties, everything becomes simple and efficient.

For example, in our booth, the decoration was relatively simple, and the overall lighting was quite dim. We requested to install two spotlights, and surprisingly, the technician completed the installation and adjustment in less than 5 minutes. This speed and efficiency significantly improved the booth setup, without affecting the progress of the exhibition!
Securing Electrical Boxes and Managing Cables
While ensuring smooth installation of the booth lighting, managing the electrical boxes and cables is equally important. Each booth has an independent electrical box to control power and wiring, ensuring the safe operation of electrical equipment. The technicians use cable ties to securely fasten the electrical box to the wall between booths, making the box as “invisible” as possible and not interfering with the booth setup.

At the same time, the cables within the booth are neatly bundled together with cable ties, preventing messy wires from disrupting the booth’s cleanliness and safety. Each cable is arranged in the required direction, avoiding tripping hazards for staff and ensuring the safe use of electrical equipment.
In the example shown in the picture, the cable ties not only make the electrical box more stable but also keep the cables neatly organized. With the simple use of cable ties, the booth’s electrical system is perfectly arranged and protected.
Fixing Indoor Directional Signs and Outdoor Guide Signs
The total area of the Canton Fair Exhibition Hall is about 390,000 square meters, spread across multiple areas and streets, with the exhibition halls covering over 160,000 square meters. Without clear directional signs, it would be difficult for visitors to quickly find the booths they are looking for. Therefore, fixing the signs properly is crucial.

Using cable ties, we can quickly and securely fix the signs to walls or stands, preventing them from being knocked over or moved. The installation is simple and firm, without affecting the sign’s guiding function.

As shown in the picture, the cable ties ensure the signs are securely fixed in place. No matter how large the crowd, the directional signs will clearly guide visitors to their booths. This not only saves setup time but also ensures smooth traffic flow throughout the exhibition.
Additionally, outside the exhibition hall, there are operational guides and certificate processing flowcharts to help visitors quickly locate the certification and service areas. This way, whether people are queuing for certificates or following directions into the halls, they can easily find the right path, avoiding confusion due to unclear signage.
Securing Outdoor Barriers and Controlling Crowd Flow
The crowd at the Canton Fair is massive, especially around the security check areas, the certificate processing hall, and near subway stations. To avoid overcrowding and maintain order, many barriers are set up outside the exhibition halls to guide the crowd.

As shown in the image, we can quickly and securely fasten these barriers to the ground or designated locations using 12×400 cable tie size, preventing them from moving during foot traffic. The cable ties not only install quickly but also provide enough strength to ensure the barriers remain in place throughout the event, preventing loosening due to crowd pushing or wind.

The Dual Role of Cable Ties at the Canton Fair
Through the above examples, we can see that cable ties are not just products on display—they are indispensable “tools” at the exhibition. From the quick installation of booth spotlights, to the neat management of electrical boxes and cables, to the securing of indoor and outdoor barriers and guide signs, cable ties play an irreplaceable role at the Canton Fair. They solve various practical problems efficiently and, ensuring the smooth progress of the event. With their flexibility and practicality, cable ties are performing a dual role at the exhibition, showcasing the flexible strength of Chinese manufacturing!
