During the trip to Osaka Castle in Japan, Our colleague Tom noticed some interesting and effective use of cable ties around the site. The following images highlight these instances.
In the image below, for example, you can see a scene from the staircase inside the castle, where black cable ties are used to securely fasten a sign to a stainless steel railing. It’s a simple yet effective solution for keeping it firmly in place.
The cable ties not only provide sufficient strength to secure the sign, but their small and neat appearance keeps the environmental facilities clean and organized. Even if someone notices them, they don’t feel out of place. From the distance shown in the picture, you can barely find the cable ties at all.
In addition to securing signs, cable ties can also be used for hanging signs, as shown in the following photo. By threading the ties through holes at the top of the sign and attaching them to railings or other supports, the signs are easily and securely suspended. Compared to rope, cable ties are much stronger, offering excellent tensile strength and resistance to wear and corrosion. Even in harsh outdoor conditions, they maintain their stability over time and won’t loosen or break due to external forces or exposure to the elements, unlike rope. UV-resistant cable ties are particularly effective, as they can withstand sunlight without being degraded by ultraviolet rays, slowing the aging process of the tie.

Using cable ties is incredibly simple. Just thread the tail through the head’s pawl and pull to tighten. It could fit objects of various sizes because there are numerous cable tie sizes.
